XFL Receivers Cannella, Green and Hammond sign NFL Contracts

On August 21, 2023, the XFL announced that three additional players from XFL teams have signed NFL contracts.

Arlington Renegades tight end Sal Cannella signed with the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sea Dragons wide receiver Juwan Green signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, and D.C. Defenders wide receiver Josh Hammond signed with the Denver Broncos.

For the Renegades Sal Cannella caught 42 passes for 415 yards in 10 regular season games played. In the post-season Cannella caught 6 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown.

For the Sea Dragons wide receiver Juwan Green caught 29 passes for 420 yards and 6 touchdowns in 10 regular season games played. In the post-season Green caught 8 passes for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns.

For the Defenders Hammond caught 34 passes for 331 yards and one touchdown in 10 regular season games. In the post-season Hammond caught 12 passes for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns.

These signings bring the total number of NFL contracts signed by XFL players to 64.

If the players return to the XFL, they will resume with their former teams.
