XFL Arlington Renegades DLs Doug Costin and Tomasi Laulile sign NFL contracts

Eight players from XFL Champion Renegades have inked NFL deals.

On August 23, 2023, the XFL annoucned that Arlington Renegades defensive linemen Doug Costin (Las Vegas Raiders) and Tomasi Laulile (Denver Broncos) have signed NFL contracts.

Costin, 25, appeared in five games during the Renegades’ run to the 2023 XFL Championship. He has seen action in 13 NFL games with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2020-21), including nine starts as a rookie in 2020. Costin was originally signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in 2020 after starring at Miami (Ohio). He has also spent time in the NFL with Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

Laulile’s signing marks his second NFL contract of the offseason. He originally signed with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday and played in the team’s preseason game on Saturday before being waived on Monday.

To date, 66 NFL contracts have been signed by XFL players since the offseason began on May 15.

Eight players from the 2023 XFL-champion Renegades have signed NFL contracts: defensive lineman Doug Costin (Las Vegas Raiders), tight end Sal Cannella (Seattle Seahawks), offensive lineman Garrett McGhin (Buffalo Bills), defensive lineman Tomasi Laulile (San Francisco 49ers & Denver Broncos), wide receiver Victor Bolden (Houston Texans), defensive lineman Bruce Hector (New York Jets), defensive back Darren Evans (New York Giants), and linebacker Willie Taylor (Jacksonville Jaguars).

If the players return to the XFL, they will resume with their former teams.
