XFL Week 4 – Players of the Week – “Fan’s Choice” by XFLBoard.com

Welcome to our XFL Week 4 – Players of the Week – “Fan’s Choice” results. Voting began immediately at the completion of the final game on Sunday. We gathered over 1950 votes before the closing of polls at 12:00PM Eastern on Tuesday February 14, 2023. We thank all who voted!

Fans were asked to nominate any player they deemed worthy of the honor, in three categories: Offensive, Defensive, and Special teams. Winners below are based on the number of votes received for each player.

XFL Offensive Player of the Week:

King was the game changer in the Defenders win at home, generating all three scores on offense, with two rushing touchdowns of his own and throwing a 32-yard touchdown pass to Jequez Ezzard in the fourth quarter:

The fans said:

  • Jordan Ta’amu has King as a backup and he can sure come in off the bench. (Brian)

Honorable Mentions

Brandon Silvers, Quarterback, Houston Roughnecks

  • 24 for 30 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns (Anonymous)
  • Silvers was money. He fits right in the Roughnecks offense. (TP)

Brian Hill, Running Back, St. Louis Battlehawks

  • For the Battlehawks Hill had 8 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown. (Anonymous)
  • Brian Hill put the game in the Battlehawks pocket in front of a home town crowd. (Go Battlehawks)

XFL Defensive Player of the Week:
#1 Luc Barcoo, Defensive Back, San Antonio Brahmas

San Antonio Brahmas defensive back #1 Luq Barcoo was a defensive machine with six tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one interception late in the game.

  • Barcoo had one interception and he could have had two more (Mike)
  • The coach says Luq has earned his way back into the NFL. I agree! (Anonymous)

Honorable Mentions

Tuzar Skipper, Linebacker, Seattle Sea Dragons

  • Four tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. Did it all for the Sea Dragons in a big win. (Anonymous)

Santos Ramirez, Defensive Back, DC Defenders

  • Excellent defensive effort with five tackles, one tackle for loss, and one interception. (Grant)

XFL Special Teams Player of the Week:
#23 Parker Romo, Kicker, San Antonio Brahmas

With 4 seconds remaining in the half, San Antonio called up kicker Parker Romo to tie the score with a 57-yard field goal. Romo booted it through the uprights with a record setting kick.

The fans said:

  • He now holds the record for longest field goal at Lumen Field. (Anonymous)
  • Parker Romo had nerves of steel when asked to kick a 57 yarder to tie the score. He made it! (Anonymous)
