Via Instagram, Kicker Parker Romo announced that he will not be returning to the San Antonio Brahmas for the 2024 season which is expected to begin on March 30, 2024.

I’ve had some time to sit back and think about a difficult decision. After taking into consideration: this year’s XFL season, 89% in Lions training camp (0 missed PATs and 2/2 in the only game I was given attempts in), Bears practice squad, 3 workouts (invited to 5), and providing for my wife and daughter, I have decided to not return to the @xflbrahmas in 2024. I’m nowhere close to hanging up the cleats, but am in pursuit of another shot on an NFL roster. There are multiple paths to take having this goal in mind and am excited for any opportunity that comes my way. I will miss my Brahma family and the best fans in the XFL. I look forward to making a trip down to San Antonio. I am grateful for the support everyone continues to give me. I am without a doubt, blessed. (romo_hka Instagram)

Romo expressed his desire to play in the NFL, and has sent respect to Brahma fans.

In the 2023 XFL season, Romo completed 17 field goals on 19 attempts with the longest being a whopping 57-yarder completed with 4 seconds remaining in the half in a week 4 game against Seattle.
