Every week followers of the XFL get a few more teases from XFL owners Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia. Today, it was an Instagram photo of a printed slide deck titled, “Football Operations Workshop 9/10/2020.”

The Rock pointed out how the process was slowly progressing through a decision process that is leading from ownership to leadership, and then to operations.

“Building of the XFL brand,” The Rock said. “From our ownership meetings to leadership meetings to overall football operation workshops, building this passion brand is a huge undertaking, but incredibly motivating at the same time. The key here is finding the right partners who share your vision and ambition to create an awesome experience for the fans.”

When it comes to the “right partners,” Johnson may be referring to landing the best broadcasters to air XFL 3.0 games and the related expanded content that has been alluded to in the past.

Today, Johnson’s message is clear, but his photo seems to include a puzzle in that the date on the document “9/10/2020” may refer to an event that took place two weeks ago (US date format), or may be taking place in October (International date format.)

Johnson also alluded to the “huge undertaking” of getting the XFL back on its feet, and pointed out there would be exciting announcements ahead.

“Some exciting XFL announcements coming up – we’ll keep you posted,” Johnson confirmed.

For XFL players, coaches, staff and fans who are waiting for more substantial news, the wait continues.
