According to a report by SI.com, Battlehawks running back Max Borghi has decided not to play in the 2024 UFL season. Borghi has decided to pursue a new career and will not be playing football.

Borghi had joined the Battlehawks from the Roughnecks in December, in a surprise player movement that took place prior to the USFL/XFL merger. In 2023, Borghi finished the regular season with the Roughnecks with 310 rushing yards and six touchdowns in eight games.

In 2022, Borghi spent time in the NFL, appearing on the rosters of three different NFL teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos.
