United Football League Announces Partnerships for 2025 Season Specialist Showcases

ARLINGTON, TX (April 30, 2024)  The United Football League (UFL) is proud to announce its partnership with renowned specialists Nick Novak, founder of Novak Kicking & Consulting, and John Carney, founder of Carney Training Facility, to host specialist showcases for the upcoming 2025 season. These events will cater specifically to kickers, punters, and long snappers, offering a dedicated platform for specialists to showcase their talents exclusively for the UFL’s player personnel departments.

“Nick and John are the go-to guys in the specialist world, and both camps were tremendously helpful in pinpointing talent for the combined league,” said Daryl Johnston, UFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with them again to provide our coaches and staff the opportunity to find top-tier specialist talent for the UFL.”

Novak’s showcase is scheduled for October 19, 2024, at Maranatha Christian School in San Diego, California.

“We are delighted to be hosting a specialist showcase event for the United Football League (UFL) in October,” said Novak. “Our team’s unwavering commitment is to provide free-agent players with valuable opportunities to participate in the league.”

Specialists interested in participating must register at www.nicknovak.com. Upon acceptance, formal invitations will be issued.

John Carney’s showcase is scheduled for December 7, 2024, in San Diego, California.  More details will be announced.  Specialists interested in participating may visit carneycoaching.com/ufl to sign up for email updates.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Daryl, Doug Whaley and the UFL’s general managers and coaches by creating opportunities for specialists to realize their dreams of playing professional football at the highest level,” said Carney. “CTF (Carney Training Facility) is committed to hosting professional events that funnel talented specialists into the league. Twenty-five specialists from our showcases have played spring football in the USFL, XFL, and UFL.”

UFL coaches and personnel directors will be in attendance during both showcases to evaluate player performances.
