Memphis Showboats head coach John DeFilippo has announced the hiring of Antoine Smith as the team’s defensive line coach.
Smith comes to the Showboats with 21 years of collegiate coaching experience. Most recently, he served as assistant head coach and defensive line coach at Temple University. Smith also served as assistant head coach at Colorado State in 2021. He has produced double-digit all-conference players throughout his collegiate coaching career.
Smith’s hire becoming official rounds out the coaching staff for the Showboats with training camp under way in Arlington, Texas and the season-opener less than a month away on March 31 at the Houston Roughnecks.
Antoine Smith joins the rest of the staff, who were formally announced recently. DeFillipo’s staff also includes:
