Welcome to our XFL Week 7 – Players of the Week – “Fan’s Choice” results. Voting began immediately at the completion of the final game on Monday. We gathered over 1650 votes before the closing of polls at 12:00PM Eastern on Tuesday April 4, 2023. We thank all who voted!
Fans were asked to nominate any player they deemed worthy of the honor, in three categories: Offensive, Defensive, and Special teams. Winners below are based on the number of votes received for each player.
XFL Offensive Player of the Week:
#12 Quinten Dormady, Quarterback, Orlando Guardians
Quinten Dormady had a stellar performance against the league leading DC Defenders, completing 27 of 34 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 22-yards on the ground including three times he ran the ball into the end zone himself.
The fans said:
- Dormady did what they said could not be done. He beat the Defenders. (FootballYoda)

Jalan McClendon, Quarterback, Vegas Vipers
- 21 for 31 passing for 264 yards and two touchdowns and a victory. Pretty good. (Anonymous)

A.J. McCarron, Quarterback, St; Louis Battlehawks
- Completed 26 of 34 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns in the Battlehawks’ 24-15 win over the Houston Roughnecks. (Jeff)

XFL Defensive Player of the Week:
#0 Pita Taumoepenu, Linebacker, Vegas Vipers
Linebacker Pita Taumoepenu racked up one and a half sacks, four total tackles, one forced fumble and two passes defended in the Vipers’ 26-12 triumph over the San Antonio Brahmas.
The fans said:
- Pita sacked Benkert and forced a fumble that iced a Brahmas drive in the fourth quarter. (Lawrence)

XFL Special Teams Player of the Week:
#6 Fred Brown, WR/Kick Returner, San Antonio Brahmas
Wide receiver Fred Brown returned a Vegas kickoff 96-yards for a touchdown, making for the longest kickoff return in XFL history. He also caught a passing touchdown in the Brahmas loss to the Vipers.
