Welcome to our XFL Week 6 – Players of the Week – “Fan’s Choice” results. Voting began immediately at the completion of the final game on Monday. We gathered over 1400 votes before the closing of polls at 6:00PM Eastern on Tuesday March 28, 2023. We thank all who voted!
Fans were asked to nominate any player they deemed worthy of the honor, in three categories: Offensive, Defensive, and Special teams. Winners below are based on the number of votes received for each player.
XFL Offensive Player of the Week:
#10 A.J. McCarron, Quarterback, St. Louis Battlehawks
In XFL Week 6, St. Louis Battlehawks quarterback A.J. McCarron completed 23 of 29 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns. McCarron also added 18 yards rushing in the Battlehawks’ 29-6 win over the Vegas Vipers on Saturday March 25, 2023.

Cole McDonald, Quarterback, Houston Roughnecks
- Pretty impressive off the bench with 8-11 complete for 194 yards and a pretty cool touchdown. (Anonymous)

Lucky Jackson, Wide Receiver. DC Defenders
- Lucky Jackson was a machine. He caught five passes for 136 yards and one touchdown and was key to the Defenders’ 37-26 victory over Houston. (Matthew R.)

XFL Defensive Player of the Week:
#39 Santos Ramirez, Defensive Back, DC Defenders
Santos Ramirez caught an amazing pick six that broke open a scoring streak for the Defenders. Ramirez finished the game with three total tackles, a sack and an interception in the Defenders’ victory over the Roughnecks. Ramirez’s interception was the third pick six of the season for the DC Defenders’ ball hawks.

- Seven tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble in the Brahmas win. (Scott)

XFL Special Teams Player of the Week:
#86 Kelvin McKnight, WR/Kick Returner, Seattle Sea Dragons
Kelvin McKnight gave the Sea Dragons instant field position with three punt returns for 71 yards (23.7 average), with the longest of 49 yards, and five kickoff returns for 133 yards (26.6 average) the longest being 45 yards.
- The best returner of the week gave the Sea Dragons instant field position. (Joseph F.)
- McKnight started by taking a punt 49 yards into Orlando’s territory and that drive ended with points. Gave Seattle an edge all game. (Plus 2)
