Welcome to our XFL Week 2 – Players of the Week – “Fan’s Choice” results. Voting began immediately at the completion of the final game on Sunday. We gathered over 2100 votes before the closing of polls at 8:00AM Eastern on Tuesday February 28, 2023. We thank all who voted!
Fans were asked to nominate any player they deemed worthy of the honor, in three categories: Offensive, Defensive, and Special teams. Winners below are based on the number of votes received for each player.
XFL Offensive Player of the Week:
#16 Jack Coan, Quarterback, San Antonio Brahmas
Former Notre Dame quarterback Jack Coan had a stellar day in the San Antonio Brahmas 3-12 win over the Orlando Guardians. Coan threw for 165 yards and 3 touchdown passes to Alize Mack, Jalen Tolliver, and Deon Yelder. He also rushed for 23 yards on 3 carries.

Honorable Mentions
A.J. McCarron, Quarterback, St. Louis Battlehawks
- McCarron went 22/36 for 184 yards and a touchdown against the Sea Dragons. (Anonymous)
- Led the Battlehawks to two victories. (Jonah)
D’Eriq King, Quarterback, DC Defenders
- Came off the bench in the rain to cinch the win for the Defenders. (Anonymous)
- Showed huge mental strength to put in a clutch performance in throwing for a touchdown, then the 3 point conversion. (DJ)
- In the worst conditions King had 32 rushing yards, including a touchdown and the two-point conversion putting the Defenders in the lead. (Pete J.)
XFL Defensive Player of the Week:
#13 Mike Lee, Defensive Back, Orlando Guardians
While the Orlando Guardians lost 30-12 in their home opener, defensive back Mike Lee racked up one sack and eight tackles including two for losses.

- Two tackles and the only interception for the Brahmas. (Mike)
- Intercepted a Francois pass intended for Jamiel and returned it 30 yards (XFLFAN)
XFL Special Teams Player of the Week:
#11 LuJuan Winningham, Wide Receiver, Arlington Renegades
Wide receiver LuJuan Winningham was a “force” in how he forced two punt-return fumbles in a row. He made the first fumble even more meaningful when the Renegades converted the turnover for a touchdown and was Winningham who caught the pass in the end zone for the first Renegades offensive touchdown of the season.
