Former St. Louis Battlehawks defensive back Nate Meadors has been signed to the practice squad of the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. Since his time with the Battlehawks, this is not Meadors first dance with the NFL as he previously signed with the Cleveland Browns.
Meadors was first signed by the Minnesota Vikings when they added him as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tennessee Titans.
The 5’11, 194-pound safety has previously appeared in three games during his NFL career and made two tackles during that span.
In nine games during the 2023 XFL season, Meadors ranked third for St. Louis with 38 total tackles, including a game-high 11 tackles in the Week 7 victory at Houston. He also picked off two passes, one of three Battlehawks with multiple interceptions on the season.
The St. Louis Battlehawks will retain Meador’s rights should he return to the XFL.
