XFL helmets adorn Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s office

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted an eye-catching image on Instagram showcasing the “XFL helmet wall” he has in his office.  The helmets surround the framed $7 bucks he had when he was cut from the Canadian Football League in 1995. He pointed out that the $7 serves as a daily reminder to stay hungry, humble and always be the hardest worker in the room. As well, “Seven Bucks Productions” is the name of a production company he co-owns with Dany Garcia.

My XFL helmets arrived to my office and (holy shit!) I’m humbled and grateful at how full circle life can sometimes be 🙏🏾🏈

My dreams of playing in the NFL never came true, but now years later – I have the honor of buying an entire pro football league so the dreams of other players CAN COME TRUE.

My trailblazing partner @danygarciaco (first woman ever to own an entire US sports league) and #GerryCardinale are passionate football owners who are committed to the grind to deliver awesome football for the fans — and always take care of our hard working, talented players.
And finally, I keep a framed $7 BUCKS (the amount of money I had when I was cut from the Canadian Football League in 1995) on the top shelf here as my daily reminder to stay hungry, humble and always be the hardest worker in the room.

Since the ownership of the league was transferred to the new owners consisting of Dany Garcia, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and RedBird Capital, the sports world awaits an announcement of when the XFL will come back to life, and what form the league may take.

  1. Hi, we are still waiting for our refund from ticketmaster, what about the season ticket holders that got screwed in not getting their refunds. Still love my Dragons though.

  2. This is great for the new owners. I’m so excited to get the XFL back it was on my TV every weekend. It’s awsome to be part of it again please keep me updated. I would love to be a part of the league please let me be a part. I owned a league and a team in arena football.

  3. Congratulations, Dwayne. I’m looking forward to the new season. I would love to see an expansion to 12 teams. I remember the USFL and my beloved Tampa Bay Bandits (die-hard Tampa Bay fan). Please keep the Vipers in the league.
Once again, congrats on your helmets. Go Vipers.

  4. Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving this league. I know it’ll be a hard road ahead but, here in the St Louis area where we continually get screwed by the NFL fully supported the Battlehawks. KaKaw!!!!!! Thank you Rock, Dany, and Gerry Cardinals. Please keep it running.
