Welcome to our UFL Week 2 – Players of the Week – “Fan’s Choice” results. Voting began immediately at the completion of the final game on Sunday. We gathered over 1150 votes before the closing of polls at 5:00PM Eastern on Tuesday April 9, 2024. We thank all who voted!
Fans were asked to nominate any player they deemed worthy of the honor, in three categories: Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams. Winners below are based on the number of votes received for each player.
UFL Offensive Player of the Week:
#3 Marcell Ateman, Wide Receiver, St. Louis Battlehawks
The fans said:
- Two Touchdowns on four catches with over 100 yards is incredibly impressive. He made up almost half of the Battlehawks receiving output and almost half of their points. (Anonymous)

Honorable Mentions
Mateo Durant, Running Back, St. Louis Battlehawks
- Averaged 4.29 yards on 14 carries on a day where he earned a 91.0 PFF rushing grade. (Anonymous)

Cody Latimer, Wide Receiver, San Antonio Brahmas
- Latimer caught a touchdown pass with only seconds left for the Brahmas to complete their comeback (Anonymous)
- Touchdown reception by Latimer completed the Brahmas come from behind win.
UFL Defensive Player of the Week:
#54 Taco Charlton, Defensive End, Birmingham Stallions
On Sunday, Taco Charlton racked up three sacks and three tackles for a loss in Birmingham’s 20-13 win over the Michigan Panthers. However, it was Charlton’s third sack of the game with 0:20 left on the clock that put the Panthers away for good.

UFL Special Teams Player of the Week:
#38 Jake Bates, Kicker, Michigan Panthers
For the second week in a row, Michigan Panthers kicker Jake Bates continued to showcase his kicking skills, this time kicking two field goals, one from 53 yards and another from a whopping 62 yards with zero time remaining in the first half.
The fans said:
- The Panthers needed points at the end of the first half and he gave them points. (Jack Scott)
- Last week it was a 64-yard field goal. This week it was a 62-yard field goal. Amazing! (Anonymous)
