ARLINGTON, TEXAS (October 2, 2023) — The XFL has announced that San Antonio Brahmas punter Brad Wing has signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League.
Wing led the XFL with an average of 47.8 yards per punt and tied for the league-lead with 16 punts inside the 20-yard line. He had an XFL record 72-yard punt in week 7 against Vegas. Wing also averaged more than 50 yards per punt in a game twice (53.5 in week 7 vs Vegas and 50.3 in week 8 against Houston).
Since the conclusion of the XFL regular season, the XFL saw its players sign 69 NFL contracts, in addition to receiving nearly 200 invitations to NFL camps or tryouts.
The San Antonio Brahmas will retain the rights to Wing should he return to the XFL.
