The DC Defenders revealed team uniforms and helmet at a private dinner that kicked off minicamp, hosted by head coach and general manager Pep Hamilton.
The Defenders’ uniforms reflect the team’s primary colors of red and white.
Inspiration: Inspired by a tradition of service and sacrifice, this team stands tall on the shoulders of giants. Blazoned with the red of the DC flag and our Founding Fathers’ coat of arms: marching ever forward, a force united, with fiery resolve.
They are the white of our sacred monuments: iconic, imposing, unconquerable and unyielding. They are star-spangled and lightning-striped, seeking glory through grit, and victory through valor. This is one team, with one quest, and one purpose.

Helmet: Players will choose from one of the highly-rated helmets from Riddell, VICIS and Schutt.
Home Jersey Features: Red body and sleeves, embroidered white Lightning Bolt on sleeves, Defenders logo embroidered on neckplate, embroidered Defenders team name, Player numbers on front, back and shoulders in white.
Home Pants Features: Red body with white sublimated spandex side panel and red lightning bolt.
