Today, Cardale Jones, the former starting quarterback of the DC Defenders of the XFL, is blowing up the internet with a simple visit to a Vice-President Pence rally in Columbus, OH.
News of Cardale Jones attending the event first appeared on Twitter via the account of Columbus Dispatch reporter Adam Cairns:

It appears Jones made a stir when he was in the crowd outside the event, as he was meeting fans and taking selfies.

Jones, the former Ohio State University quarterback Cardale Jones who led Ohio State to the 2014 College Football Playoffs National Championship, wasn’t ready to discuss who he would be supporting in the upcoming presidential election.
When asked by a Columbus Dispatch reporter for a comment, Jones responded, “I don’t talk politics.”

Cardale Jones later took to Twitter to clarify why he was at the rally:
“I was there to support a local business who hosted the event. No political or social attachment. Just support for the business!!” Cardale Jones.
