The XFL announced that Vegas Vipers tight end Brandon Dillon has signed a contract with the National Football League’s Washington Commanders.
The 26-year-old tight end is 6’5”, 250 pounds, and played his college ball at Marian. He first entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019, and played in five NFL games for the Vikings over three seasons, totaling just one reception for six yards. Since then he has bounced around a few organizations, but with little NFL playing time.
The Marian University product appeared in all 10 games for the Vegas Vipers and made eight receptions for 87 yards. His best game was in Week 4 at the DC Defenders, where he caught three passes for 47 yards.
The Washington Commanders become Dillon’s fourth NFL organization.
Dillon’s signing brings the total number of players who have signed an NFL contract to 24, including eight who earned All-XFL Team honors following the 2023 season. To date, 89 invitations have been sent to XFL players for camps or to hold individual workouts with NFL teams since the conclusion of the regular season.
