Fisher becomes the thirteenth UFL player to sign a contract with an NFL team
The UFL has announced that D.C. Defenders defensive end Malik Fisher has signed a contract with the Houston Texans of the National Football League.
In 10 games this season, Fisher tied for the second-most sacks in the league (7) while recording 33 tackles (18 solo/7 tackles for loss). He also broke up three passes with a forced fumble and recovery.
A standout at Villanova University, Fisher returned for his second season with the Defenders after playing in eight games in 2023.
The D.C. Defenders will retain Fisher’s rights should he return to the UFL.
