Person Jr. becomes the twelfth UFL player to sign a contract with an NFL team.
The UFL has announced that Birmingham Stallions running back Ricky Person Jr. has signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.
Person Jr., who only saw four games with the Stallions in 2023, became a rushing force for Birmingham this season, as the team’s second leading rusher. In just nine games played during the regular season, the North Carolina State standout rushed for a total of 297 yards, scoring six touchdowns to aid the Stallions in becoming the no. 1 offense in the UFL.
At the inaugural UFL championship game, Person Jr. led the team in rushing with 102 total yards, averaging 7.8 yards per carry to help the Stallions win their third straight spring league championship.
The Birmingham Stallions will retain Person Jr’s. rights should he return to the UFL.
