The following is a breakdown of all UFL transactions made between Monday, May 27, and Friday, May 31, ahead of the week ten slate of games.

The teams not included (Houston Roughnecks, Michigan Panthers, Memphis Showboats) did not make any transactions this week.

Arlington Renegades

Arlington’s third-leading receiver, Javonta Payton, has been moved to the Injured Reserve, cutting his season short by one game.

With Payton inactive, the Renegades picked up rookie cornerback Cedric Anderson ahead of their regular season finale.

Anderson finished his collegiate career at Grambling State with 23 tackles, five pass breakups, and two interceptions in 2023. He had transferred from Northwestern State where spent his prior four collegiate seasons, totaling 68 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and three interceptions over 34 games.

Anderson is inactive for the Renegades against D.C.

Birmingham Stallions

With All-USFL kicker Chris Blewitt healthy again, the Brahmas released Ramiz Ahmed, who has served as Blewitt’s substitute since week four.

Ahmed’s stint with Birmingham was a respectable one, as he went 10-for-13 on field goals in total.

D.C. Defenders

With one game left to play this season, the Defenders added linebacker Mikel Jones while moving offensive lineman Lamont Gaillard to the Injured Reserve.

Jones was a two-time All-ACC linebacker at Syracuse, where he racked up 301 tackles, including 24 for a loss and 9.5 sacks, plus six pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and four interceptions over 46 games from 2019 to 2022.

San Antonio Brahmas

In devastating news, tight end Cody Latimer has been ruled out for the rest of the season after he was carted off the field during San Antonio’s game last week.

Latimer, an All-XFL honoree last year with the Orlando Guardians, is second on San Antonio this season in receptions (36) and receiving yardage (390).

His presence will certainly be missed for the Brahmas as they move into the postseason next week.

With an open roster spot, the Brahmas re-signed wide receiver Kade Warner, who was with the team during training camp.

Warner, the son of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner, was initially signed by the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) during the offseason. However, he landed with San Antonio during one of the Post-Merger Dispersal Drafts after the Roughnecks dissolved. He had spent the previous summer with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State.

St. Louis Battlehawks

The Battlehawks made complementary moves within their receiving corps this week, moving Ja’Marcus Bradley to the Injured Reserve and re-signing Jeff Thomas.

Thomas was with St. Louis for the first few weeks of the season, but was released once Jahcour Pearson was activated off the Injured Reserve in week four. Thomas had not seen any live-game action during his first stint with the Battlehawks.

St. Louis also moved linebacker Lakiem Williams to the Injured Reserve. Williams had 27 tackles for the Battlehawks up until this point.
