I think those that remember the 09-12 league remember good football and talent but a bad (or a risky and unsuccessful at least) business model.
I wish Omaha would be seriously considered by one of these leagues, especially if they're looking to sell more tickets. Omaha Vipers rolls off the tongue better than the Vegas Vipers.

They have a really nice concrete-donut stadium, but you're working around the College World Series in early summer with the USFL (not going to happen) and harsh winter conditions in the XFL's season. You'd basically be looking at maybe playing games down the road at that massive stadium in Lincoln? IDK.
I mean, if Birmingham can keep getting teams in every league it seems, Omaha should be able to land something. It has a good corporate core for sponsorships and is a top-75 market, ideal for the spring leagues. (I'll note that Brian Woods did have a team in Omaha in his first pro league effort the FXFL. It had the leading attendance but Woods couldn't figure out a way to make the travel expenses work, and thus the hub model was born.)

It would probably be foolish to abandon all the USFL branding.
Not only is it a clean and professional logo ... but it also attracted many casual fans who felt a connection to the original USFL.
But whatever.
It'll end up being the same 1.1 million television viewers regardless.
