Becht interviews for West Virginia job; NFL teams interested, too

Post by GregParks »

Per Adam Schefter:

If Becht takes a college job (which I think he's better suited for right now), I'd imagine he takes his OC and DC with him. If not, I'd expect them to be top candidates for the St. Louis HC job.

Well the UFL is sold to players and coaches alike as a stepping stone (as well as landing stop).  So good for Becht.

Now, here's one, would a Belicheck want to keep his day job and want to be like Wade Phillips and Bob Stoops.  How about a Bill Belicheck to NJ or Pete Caroll to Seattle?

Iowa St. vs West Virginia would be wild if this happens

Becht had been emphasizing the recruiting side as the Battlehawks coach so a college position would be a strong fit for him, compared to making the jump straight to the NFL.

And after the McCarron fiasco, this is the perfect time to do it.
