I know overall the league is above 500,000 but I haven’t seen a team breakdown since Dec/Jan. I’m curious what ones are most/least popular now that the season has arrived. Obviously I can’t judge fan support based off of team attendance. Although I expect Birmingham to really show up tonight (obviously).
Using the social blade.com, Panthers with the most followers at 35K+, Generals the lowest with 18K+. All the other teams in the 20-26K range.

I’m guessing the Panthers higher based on choosing a UM QB, but that’s speculation.
That and being thirsty for a winner,(Lions), or at least something different. Thanks for the info Nick.

Michigan is also one of the markets that's gone the longest without an alt league team, along with Pittsburgh, New Orleans, and Philly. And of the four, they were the one that was legitimately popular in the original USFL.

I think New Orleans will be one of the best markets once they get teams in their cities. They seem to have a very active social media fan base and I really think it'll translate to good attendance.

Plus having some of the best unis and the best mascot helps too.

That I'm guessing was SC playoffs (Flyers/Rangers both Sundays). Either way mission accomplished doing what the AAF didn't: follow up.

Now take it to week two.

I wouldn't call CBSSN and NFLN that, Turner wasn't even in play until the week before the season so no.

Yes I know they got NFLN late and TURNER very late.

USFL is more like XFL 2.0, 2 major nets and their large cable channels set up and ready to go for a while.

I've written my AAF/XFL lookback on XFLBoard. Ebersol was a lying tool. But even he could have gotten thru season 1 with a couple less teams, smaller team size and lower salaries. But I liked it none the less. I think USFL week 1 is better.
