I feel like people are overestimating how many network games a week this merged league will get. I still think you'll see a fair share of games on FS1, ESPN/2, but hopefully few if any on FX. Losing ESPN+ would be a bad look, half the guys I know my age don't even own a tv. They stream and surf the web on their oversized monitors.

It's speculation based on reports that the league wants to get as many games on network TV as possible to better showcase the league to investors. Obviously with 60 games it would be rather difficult doing that, which is why they might like to find another broadcast partner. The other thing is that ESPN is not a given anymore for a few reasons.
