Well it looks like the NFLPA is ready for a 'labor war' with NFL owners in 2021. Could this impact the XFL in any way if the lockout extends to the 2021 NFL season or even further?

Another poll shows that the NFL is losing it's core audience by 24% since 2014. Can the XFL capitalize and bring in this audience?

In 2021, the XFL could be the only major football league running? I wonder if McMahon counted on this.

Wow, if that does happen the XFL will get a serious boost from that.

But if there is a strike or lockout, it won't be until the XFL's third season to see the fruits of it. They'll be playing year 2 when the CBA expires and that fall to determine if there's backlash. If they managed to sit an entire year the XFL won't capitalize until months later. Only thought if there is no 2021 season that maybe XFL moves up their season and plays longer starting in late November or December.

The XFL could adjust their season. Also, more fans could jump ship to the XFL, especially if a strike drags on.

I can’t see too many fans jumping ship unless an NFL strike goes an entire season. Then all bets are off.

Re: NFL headed for lockout in 2021?
they XFL is very aware of it and this is one of the reasons for a 2020 start. It is not a matter of competing directly with the NFL, but they know that there will be a lot of players out there that may want to play and get paid without sitting on the sidelines. they know 2020 can establish their product and in 2021 they can bring in many of these guys that need work and people know.
Besides this they are not looking for NFL viewers to "jump ship" they just want NFL viewers to watch them too while getting those that did get sick of the NFL to tune in also. that is what they want.
