in the last 10 years, individual Stanley Cup game ratings have gone as high as 8.0M

numbers the UFL can only dream of

a Battlehawks Michigan final could certainly hit 2 million viewers. Stanley cup finals typically average 2.5-3.5M for the series, or basically a Wednesday night cable news show.

Gee that wouldn't have been the Blues game seven win over the Bruins in 2019 (the last one to date) would it?

And this Stanley Cup includes a non-American team and warm weather  Florida, not a hot bed for hockey interest.  I'm thinking this will be a low rated SC as far as they go.

I don't think you can really predict ratings here using anything else as an apples comparison other than two years ago, the first time the SCF was solely OTA in decades--and that had the Lightning going for a threepeat against the Avalanche.

ABC had decent ratings in 2004 (same scenario, FL vs Alberta), that was also split with ESPN.

NBC had so-so ratings for Oilers/Canes in 2006, but that also included the first two games on OLN which pulled in less than a million viewers each so it was a bit better than advertised had they shown the whole series.

The Panthers have played two SCF games in their history on an OTA network--1996 on FOX (ESPN the other two)

So these could be all over the place.

You mean dead RIGHT - 3.56mm on Monday night on ABC (no competition too) - I was in agreement with LAxtreeme post.  If NYR in the Stanley cup you could add 2mm+ more.  I have nothing against the NHL but we all know that they wanted NYR in the SC.

Recall the other game 2's were on Cable - this is on ABC.
