Are you kidding? It's the worst attendance so far this season and the worst since 2020 when they still weren't opening up as many sections. For the first playoff game in St. Louis in decades?

I think we need to realize a lot of people go to these games for a fun night out and nothing more. In the arena leagues heyday a team could draw 14k week 16 and less than 10k a week later for a first round playoff game. They drew roughly 90% their seasons average, it’s a fine number

over 40k in two playoff games ... 20k avg - take it. The TV numbers I'm more concerned about

They're down 25% from the season opener when they should be UP 25%.
This is echoes of Baltimore, 1995 all over again. Especially if they end up losing this game, the novelty is going to start wearing off quickly. Plus the fans have to be seeing how poorly the other teams are doing in attendance and seeing that what once seemed to be a sure thing before COVID is now all of a sudden looking more and more like every other failed league of the past 50 years—even the ones showing strong support at first wane more and more as the years progress.
And now the UFL has the nightmare scenario of having given the championship to a team that couldn't make it to the game.

As for the arena leagues, they had 20-man rosters consisting mostly of two-way players making around $1,000 a game. It's a much lower budget, and it's why it lasted 22 seasons.
