I see Birmingham fans do a lot of talking online, but they also have a lot of excuses for the poor numbers this year.

Attendance in Birmingham is disappointing. What does a team have to do to get fans to come to a game, especially in a football hotbed like Alabama?

Bates may have kicked away his NFL opportunities the last few weeks. That kick was wide right by a country mile. Also put a kickoff out of bounds in the second half too.

The second might not matter as much with the new kickoff rules the NFL will be using this year. He's attempted the most field goals of any kicker this year, but he's also missed the most as well. The leg will intrigue some ST coaches enough for him to still get a look I'm sure, but I agree, it's not automatic as it was at one point earlier in the season.

I lowered by prediction this am to 7k - right on the money.

Rain in forecast for meaningless game - i'm hoping next week is clear

His success outside is much lower than inside.  That's his Achilles heal (pun intended).

I got a call and missed the end of Mich Game - stallions pull it out and Mich misses opp

Tough day for Birmingham.  Defense still trying to adjust to new coordinator,  Nothing to play for in that game,  not wanting to use their best stuff this week,  Martinez not really ON with his passing.   Wet field causing issues.  Run game has sort of faded recently.   Michigan's got a decent team for sure.   Hopefully Skip can pull it together this week.  Weather looks good Saturday so hopefully a big crowd will show up.  I plan to be there.
