You may be right about that. With the massive changes coming to college football now might be a bad time to enter the field. No one has a clue what the changes are going to result in. but any time you give huge amounts of cash to an 18 year old the results 9 out of 10 times are going to be bad. Plus some wealthy benefactors are going to try to corner the market on players and buy a championship. It may work, it may not. If you're in it now you might as well see where it goes but I would not want to get in it right now.I doubt Holtz wants a return to college football. I think he enjoys coaching hungry players without dealing with NIL and the transfer portal.

Curtis Johnson needs to be replaced. He's awful at clock management.

The bottom two teams in this league need a shakeup. If that means coaching changes, then the league needs to do it.

I'm not convinced Curtis will be gone. His roster wasn't the best and he was 5-5 last year. DeFlop just looks to have lost it.

I've had some brief conversations with Coach at events and he has reiterated that he loves this team and this concept. He had the opportunity to go to Northwestern after the 2023 season and he said "no." He was willing to go as a consultant but his eye was definitely on coming back to Birmingham. His winning percentage is higher in Birmingham than at any of his college stints. I think he stays.

So Northwestern wanted to one-and-done David Braun, B1G Coach of the Year?
Plus Holtz would have been there only to guide NU through the two years they'll be playing at the B1G version of Cashman while Ryan Field gets redone.
Good luck getting anyone to coach there..................
