>> “He had a minor issue, went into the hospital, missed the game two weeks ago, came back out, was here for a couple days, and just felt like he needed to go home.”Holtz went on to say: “John is healthy. John is in good spirits. Thoughts are with him constantly. There is nobody in this game that I have more respect for, or love, or think that he has done an unbelievable job and I wish he was here. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out through some extenuating circumstances.” <<

Lots of adversity hitting the Stallions this season with injuries now losing DC to medical condition.  In fact alot of playoff teams have adversity to name a few:

BH - AJ McCarron still day-to-day
SA - While getting Garbers back at QB they lost TE Cody Latimer for season after wk 9 injury
Mich - Lost Wes Hills and EJ Perry and on def Frink Ginda
Stallions - lots of injuries now DC

It's anyone's guess who pulls this championship off.

As I've said elsewhere, at this point, any of the top four teams could win it based on injuries and how each team is playing.  I'm pretty excited for this playoffs.

Chavis was definitely one of if not the best DC in the league.   No matter how you cut it losing him right before the playoffs  is a challenge.  It didn't say what roll Blevins was going to have.   I guess they have one week to work it all out before show time.

From what I've read, Blevins will be a more general defensive assistant, while DBs coach Corey Chamblin will call the defensive plays.

Our replacement DC looked awful against Houston and average against SA.

I think our reign runs soon.

The Stallions have more issues on D than who calls the plays, they're missing Scooby end of discussion.

But either way good to see to see AB back in the league on a more stable ground.
