On Friday, February 2, 2024, the UFL announced the Houston Roughnecks would play their 2024 season at Rice University Stadium.Rice will be the only university-based stadium to host a UFL team.“Rice Stadium will be a great home for our Roughnecks, and we can’t wait to deliver a phenomenal football product and fan experience that is uniquely H-Town,” said Russ Brandon, president/CEO of the UFL.
 

With an early Friday morning press release, does this mean the schedule is coming later today?

I would hope next week at the latest.

With the townhalls next week, AND this announcement - its gotta be this afternoon thru first townhall afternoon which I believe is 2/8.   Likely though a weekday with Monday or Tuesday tops for max exposure, and not over the weekend.

This had to be announced first though and that domino has now fallen.

I just hope it's something that looks like it was carefully done. There's a lot of moving parts that we don't have access to, hell even the one I put up two weeks ago I missed Disney on Ice at the Alamodome.

Just give me something that's better than the "This is it?" one the Big XII put out this week.

There was nothing wrong with the place when I used to go there except for the splinters from the wooden bleachers.  Apparently the 18th-wealthiest endowment of any American university can't buy chairback seating so they reduce capacity by tarping off sections instead.

Well, I'd rather have that endowment spent on educational purposes anyway. But that's just me.
