Well tomorrow is Nov 13th - one of the later dates we were told an announcement was coming.

Next week is Thanksgiving week and news will be lost. And after that is Christmas/Holiday season...

You might come to realize that there was no truth in any of those rumors. Why? Could be the situation is constantly changing. What can we do? Scoff at rumors and wait patiently. Seems like the only choice.

Well, the letters of intent seem to mean no draft, either, as the date of past XFL drafts iswhooshing by.

The LOIs are being signed by players who were already claimed over the summer, returning players who signed into the NFL this summer, or those drafted in the Rookie draft in June (or were claimed as UDFAs afterward). So I wouldn't say that in and of itself means there's no planned draft.

While I agree with you, and Monday is the wrong day of the week for an announcement anyway, pushing an announcement into Holiday season (week after Thanksgiving thru NYers day) is not good timing for max attention. And Thanksgiving week is worse.

This is the final week really so I'm surprised. And while I believe gov incompetence for the delay... these 2 minor leagues merging should be of ZERO interest to regulators.

Is one side getting cold feet? Doubtful. Logistical or TV partner issues? Maybe.

I believe the opposite, actually. If there were issues, someone would be complaining and we’d hear about them. The silence is probably a good sign.
