It was set up so perfect: the Enforcers were essentially named for him, the league was set up as a nod to what people are clamoring for today, yet it all turned into a bad Saturday Night's Main Event (and considering that five years later NBC was back in both the NFL and WWE don't have to go too far there). And then it hit me, DB was also in that Saved by the Bell spinoff/knockoff a couple years earlier, explains a few things.

RIP big guy. I remember him hosting the “scramble” in the Vegas / NY NJ first XFL game. And obviously his remarkable NFL career and charity works.

Rest in peace Mr. Butkus. One of the greatest and toughest football players ever. I always enjoyed seeing what you would do next.

Butkus and Jim Brown, legends both gone this year. Both in Any Given Sunday and admirers of each other (even though their careers only overlapped for a year).

"HEY D'AMATO, WHERE'D YOU FIND THIS F****T?!"
