I would think that a rebrand is on the way.

If they stay in Vegas can either get a way into UNLV, Allegiant or even Bishop Gorman.... They need a new identity and start fresh.

I think a more definite decision as to where the team will go would be coming soon. This XFL knows they can’t sit around while the next season quickly approaches.

I'm just sayin, and hear me out. It's not such an insane idea to consider Oakland. In the summer of 2024.... construction is to begin on a new around 10,000 seat, possibly more, soccer stadium for USL Championship side Oakland Roots SC on the Malibu lot on the Coliseum site. Since we know once Oakland loses the A's, it will no longer be a top tier market.....I think the Oakland sports fan could embrace this. The Roots are very popular. Oakland Vipers sounds good, they wear black, Marshawn could do PR....it just sounds like something that would work. And there's the bay area tv market.

I assume they wouldn’t have told Cashman they’re not returning unless they have something else already lined up. Announcing something without a plan of where to go is how they got into this mess in the first place after all. Perhaps that’s why it took over three months from the end of the season for this to come out.MarkNelson wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 8:22 am I think a more definite decision as to where the team will go would be coming soon. Portland is a lot more interesting to me than Nashville or Tempe. Ultimately, doesn't matter to me where they go as long as they can sustain themselves there.

Portland is interesting because the Portland Timbers won't allow football to be played at a regular basis at Providence Park, which seats 25,000. I think it would be a great option, but the Timbers are a stumbling block. They don't own the stadium, but they have a significant say. They kicked Portland State out of there and into Hillsboro.

Could a pro team play at Hillsboro? I know next to nothing about it.GDAWG wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 12:15 pmPortland is interesting because the Portland Timbers won't allow football to be played at a regular basis at Providence Park, which seats 25,000.
