15 by my count
Six in the 60s who I would give the best shot of making their team, those are:
Luq Barcoo/Hakeem Butler (65), Steelers
Gary Jennings (67), Panthers
Jack Heflin (64), Saints
Austin Faoliu (62), Seahawks
LaCale London (61), Falcons
--Barcoo and Butler are currently well down on the depth chart (as is is XFL 20 star Kenny Robinson) going into camp but those of you who remember Jordan Dangerfield, the FXFL's one true success story, who bounced on and off the Steelers PS for two years before landing on the roster and making a nice four-year career, anything's possible.
--Jennings surprised me being the highest rated of this group and on a team where their second round pick, Jonathan Mingo, isn't even a projected starter as of now, that kind of tells you where Jennings is.
--Heflin is currently behind first-round pick Bryan Bresee and part-time starter Malcolm Roach
--Faoliu was signed by the Hawks around the same time they waived UFA Robert Cooper, whose reported knee issues must have been a real thing or else he would have gone in the XFL Draft. Faoliu has had his own knee issues through OTAs and minicamp but on a team where Bryan Mone will miss half the season at best, leaving fourth round pick Cameron Young as the only the other guy Fao's got a great shot if he shows up healthy next week.
--London, not even the #1 London on the team, is in another spot where he'll have to fight his way into the mix with two occasional starters (Ta'Quan Graham, Timmy Horne) ahead of him.
The others:
Brandon Dillon (58), Vikings
Alize Mack (57), Titans
Daniel Whelan (56), Packers
Jaryd Jones-Smith (53), Commanders
Jordan Thomas (58), Panthers (moved to WLB)
C.J. Brewer (59), Buccaneers
Ben DiNucci (54), Broncos
Bryce Thompson (59), Dolphins
Lukas Denis (59), Falcons
Although considering the Packers' history over the years of just up and cutting punters out of the blue in the preseason (Jon Ryan, Tim Masthay and J.K. Scott come to mind) I wouldn't necessarily dismiss Whelan. JJS, Denis, and Thompson (along with Whelan) all have the unfortunate distinction of being the lowest-rated at their position--which actually sounds like fun, put together an all low-rated team and see if you can win two or three games this year. Hell why have guys in the 70s and 80s when you're just gonna do the same thing?
