Funny how the XFL kept getting ragged on by having 'close games' at the end that seemed manufactured because teams are just bad, and then this game has a back-and-forth finish constantly enabled by penalty flags. Fun game, but the ineptness segued into a close exciting finish rather than actual success of either team.

Oh come on - the teams played well. I agree that MP should have overturned that Speaks roughing call but they are trying to mimic NFL too much. There was 700 legits yards of offense against 2 tope defenses - it was a great game.

Not saying it wasn't a good game, but mistakes (such as the long MP TD after the Blewitt FG) made it closer than it probably would have been. That same argument against XFL that games were artificially close at the end no matter how the first 3 quarters went held true for a lot of USFL games as well. It's not that it's Brady-Manning, it's just bad teams tend toward average the longer they play. And games can get close that started off not close.

If you see bad play... but this wasn't. These teams were playing hard and well. Agreed that a couple tick-tacksy calls but overall the play was v good and game was too.
