One thing USFL has going is practicing in the host cities for 4 teams (Canton stretch ). With that local media has close access to the practices, coaches, players - that's a help. Would be better in the larger cities of Houston, Philly, NJ-NYC, but its still a positive and Detroit is good sized.

The only Tigers game that is likely to sell out will be the final home game of the 2023 season in September, only because it will be the final game of the Hall of Fame career of Miguel Cabrera

Based on looking at the season and single game seats available (gotta look at combined), Michigan will be having decent attendance.

That late-80s/early-90s Saints team always kinda felt like an unofficial USFL continuation in the NFL to me-- with guys like Hebert, Sam Mills & Vaughan Johnson, and coach Jim Mora.
