It would've been more interesting if they brought back the Rage branding.
The Guardians moniker just feels completely generic, even moreso now after the Cleveland MLB team started using it.
Plus, it would be a nice nod to XFL 1.0
Oh well
Should've brought back the Rage

Should at least do a throwback game at some point. Invite back the old players, etc.

Re: Should've brought back the Rage
Orlando Rage had cool branding, but it is one of the names people still make fun of. So, I can see why they did not bring it back.
That being said, moving the Guardians name to Orlando still does not make sense to me. The logo is still cool though.

Re: Should've brought back the Rage
They might have to.
I just stumbled across something: there was already an Orlando Guardians football team when the XFL decided to play. They're a team consisting of first responders like fire, police and EMTs. They play in a league called the National Public Safety Football League, which has teams in NY, LA, Orlando, Philadelphia, Chicago, Columbus and Dallas.

Now, chances are, that Guardians probably never got involved in trademarking their team name, but someone's going to end up in a legal fight. And if the government is one of the parties...
I, personally, would have made a move for the Apollos branding if they're reviving spring football names.

Not sure how active they are, they do have a schedule for 2023 on the site but the rest of the info is all at least two years old, and there were two teams (minor and semipro) called the Rage in the years since the OG XFL.

Re: Should've brought back the Rage
Rage is one of the nicknames everybody laughed at until they started winning. Then, then it was a great name!
