Reuse old team names and logos.
XFL could speed this up by reusing some of the old team names and logos. They were all pretty good.

I liked some, just not all. Besides, McMahon said that the league would be all new so I don't expect any bringing back of old logos. No need to speed up the process, they have two years to really get this right.

I am also wondering if some fans want to see their old teams back, like the Chicago Enforcers. A perfectly good name and logo. They should think about bringing it back.

Re: Reuse old team names and logos.
It depends. In some cases, I'd stay away from it. Maniax, Xtreme, Demons, etc. But some might do well. Outlaws, Enforcers, Bolts, Rage, etc. Depends on what angle they want to go, which markets get teams. Honestly, if NY, Chicago or LA get a team, they need a new name and a realistic Name The Team contest that narrows down a handful of 'team approved' names (without stacking the deck obviously in favor of one particular name) and let the fans pick it.
Last time, the league had far too much say in team identity that didn't really suit each market.

Good points. You are right. I agree that I’m still trying to figure what “Maniax” have to do with Memphis. Although the former names leant themselves to the “extreme” part of the XFL, I guess the new XFL is no longer billed as such.

Here are some name suggestions:
New York Knights
Florida Sharks
St. Louis Stallions
Columbus Cougars
San Francisco Spartans
Arizona Scorpions
San Antonio Vipers
San Diego Bolts (not very original, I know )

A "name the team" contest, if done properly, can help build up local support.
We will see if this version of XFL management is willing to try this.

Agree. A logo design and team name contest would be cool.

I always liked New York Knights. San Francisco Spartans sounds professional (classy). Arizona Scorpions would be good, as you could do a lot with a logo.
San Diego Bolts might be too close to the Chargers? Maybe it works since they moved to LA.
