Ottawa’s qb Jeremiah Masoli will be out approx 12 weeks for surgery after a low hit by Saskatchewan’s Garrett Marino. The league is reviewing Mariano’s actions.

Yes, he has a reputation. My eye roll is a sendup to those that argue about this on both sides of the ball.

I see tonight Marino was suspended 4 games.

I also see that Ottawa signed Nick Arbuckle from Edmonton.

There are still people who cheer for an injury, especially players on the “other team,” but getting fewer I think.

Recall back to XFL 1.0 where people like Vince and Jessie Ventura talked about quarterbacks not taking a slide, being tough enough to take a hit. At the same time XFL 1.0 was losing starting quarterbacks every week. One of the best Jeff Brohm was a punching bag, taking hits until he couldn’t continue into the playoffs, probably sending the hard working Orlando Rage to an undeserved playoff loss.
