Personally I think this will be good for both the players and the league, hopefully we see wages increase some and longer camps to help prevent injury

Re: USFL players sign on to unionize
I don't see this as a positive for the league or the players. Why would they join a union for a 10 week season? Why the Steelworkers? What is the benefit? What red tape and regulations does this add to the league?herns wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 3:50 pm https://twitter.com/unionelections/stat ... jkr09CiYRw

As a poison pill to get cut and join another league maybe? They all get the same money too. Strange indeed. I hope it doesn't cause issues.

How could this possibly be a good thing from a league perspective?herns wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 3:50 pm https://twitter.com/unionelections/stat ... jkr09CiYRw

I more meant public perception of having a players association makes it look more legit to the general public and a PA may force issues like longer camps which even if fox wouldn’t prefer that would be better for the league productGopher123 wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:30 pmHow could this possibly be a good thing from a league perspective?herns wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 3:50 pm https://twitter.com/unionelections/stat ... jkr09CiYRw

Correct. Not to mention other pitfalls that could go along with it. This certainly is not welcome news for any start up league.johnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 11:07 pmAnd more money that these leagues can't afford.
