No more botched kicks due to the football, hopefully they stabilize the chips in the blade of the footballs for qbs as well

I can confirm from a reliable source close to the USFL game, kickers are very happy about this outcome.

Mark, did you happen to find out if the kickers had been practicing with the chipped balls prior to game day?

I know they were aware of the chipped ball problem, so I’m sure they practised with the chip balls. However, they were NOT allowed to talk about the problem. It all came to a head last weekend when there were so many misses. “You don’t see so many misses for no reason,” was the quote I was told when I dug a little further.

Kickers are proud of their game, and their game is to be accurate. They don’t need a ball that takes this away. All’s well that ends well.

Damn, I was waiting for he inevitable twitter blast - USFL and those chips are a real kick in the balz. And here EVP Johnston and the League fixes it. What's next Pizza night?

Do you know if they’re doing anything to stabilize the chip a bit better for qbs with the reports if it being impossible to throw a spiral with

According to the Daryl Johnston announcement, just kicking balls. Were QBs having similar issues? I have not heard that as of yet, other than on Twitter. Maybe there are real issues for the passing game? I will ask around.

Thank goodness.
If the general public knew about this, it might've affected gameday attendance.

No org wants its inner workings - esp issues - to be discussed publicly - I know in this age of SocialFedia people think its the SOP, no its not.
