De'Veon Smith gets cut over food choice

I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like this before and I originally thought it was staged. One of the USFL’s best running backs gets the boot because he wanted pizza over chicken salad. Can anyone make sense of this?

That first episode of UBF was a giant "Meh?" between that, Wilson's tirade at the open, Holmes apparently not breaking his foot (or radio silence), and the Chase DeMoor hype only to look like the winner of Shaqtin a Fool. It wasn't the Opie and Anthony disaster, but that's not really raising the bar.

Saturday needs to be much better. It (and the following from here on out) will be more game week-centric so that should help.

Not the viral moment the league was looking for. My interpretation was that word got back to Kirby that the way Smith expressed his food choice was disrespectful, not the food choice itself.

It was very disjointed -- they had a bunch of "moments" but nothing weaving them together into a story. They might have been better off just picking one team (or maybe two teams that are playing each other that week) to help keep things focused.

I think it was left in for the purpose of going viral. I’d assume if fox didn’t want people to see it it wouldn’t have made the final cut of the show

Speaking of Holmes, there was the giant "WT?" when he went all valley dude over liking Aaron Rodgers but not watching the NFL, and this dude was picked over Luis Perez? Perhaps that was a subtle nod, still this dude was picked over Luis Perez?

I didn’t watch it yet. I need to catch up, and I will. I just saw the clip online and I had to wonder.
