I don’t care for either one really but they could be playing for a big chunk of concrete for all I care. The trophy for me is spring football every weekend until basically the 4th of July. With that said I can’t watch tonight’s opener live because of previous commitments. Another reason why I was wishing opening night was last week!

I don't think it was "good", but it was unique and it was the USFL's. And it was sort of like the Stanley Cup in that each champion had a plaque added.

It's such a funny dance they're playing with the old brand.

It really is. Everybody wants them to honor the old teams, use the old mascot names, use the old trophy, etc. But they can't. They have this name that everybody knows but they seemingly can't acknowledge their own namesake.

I guess we never saw XFL II's trophy, did we? I wonder if that's sitting on some old employee's mantle right now.
