A federal court judge declined to block the new USFL from using league logos and names with kickoff on Saturday, but did rule the former USFL owners from the 1980s league, who are suing for trademark infringement, are "likely to prevail on its trademark infringement claim."

Ben Fischer is saying it’s likely to lead to a settlement

Yeah $7.77 ($1 tripled to 3 in 2022 dollars), not a penny more

But why is this judge even commenting on a trial that hasn't even started yet (unless settlement talks are actually happening)?

He had to because the og guys filed for an early ruling to try and stop the season

I'm talking about the "likely to prevail" part, I'd be demanding recusal.

From what I’ve heard it’s basically the judges way of telling fox to do a settlement

Nice, so you can go from nothing to whining your way into a settlement (take notes Vince and Rock), enough to make Steve Harvey look like a real judge.

"Some USFL teams are likely to prevail." $20k in 20 years in total business while allowing TM filings to lapse.

I agree with MGB01. What a joke.

If they "settle" it won't be for much, hopefully it goes away quickly.
