What? The XFL had tons of video. That they didn't specifically have a TV show to promote seems like an arbitrary distinction.

And when they do, trust me that I'll call it out just the same.

You should try approaching this stuff with at least a modicum of intellectual honesty. It would make for a much more fun conversation.

A league can still be a stand alone league and allow it's players to go to the NFL if the opportunity presents itself. It's one of the main problems the CFL has had recently and something that the CFLPA has been pushing for in recent CBA negotiations: allowing players to go to the NFL if those chances present itself. Right now it's on a team by team basis, but the CFL hasn't had a league wide rule in regards to players jumping to the NFL for a while now. This isn't a policy the USFL wants because they are owned by Fox, a TV partner of the NFL for almost three decades (and I read that the NFL deal practically saved the Fox Network) and by NBC, another NFL TV partner. XFL 2.0 even had an active NFL player (Cam Jordan) as a sideline reporter and another one (at the time he was) Greg Olsen on color commentary. Jordan is doing the broadcasts this year for NBC I think and he has no plans on retiring from the NFL any time soon.

No one is suggesting otherwise. Do you really think that's my position? I must have written 500,000 words on this topic over the years on this board.

All I’m trying to say is don’t read too much into the one line, we’re more the league isn’t trying to be a minor league. How major league feeling it is has yet to be seen but we’ll soon find out

I wasn't referring to you but I know other Alt football fans who want their league to be similar to the 1960's AFL and not allow any players to jump to the NFL under any circumstances and who believe that any player who jumps to the NFL is a sell out. To me a league that does that won't attract any good players at all and it would be nothing more than a rec league or semi-pro league in terms of player quality.

Apologies, I assumed you were conversing with those of us in this thread, not other people you know outside of the thread.

The XFL lines wasn't putting lines like that in their videos. The AAF was though.
The D-XFL 3.0 will be for sure.
Shawn and HHH? Shawn could still probably rock it at 56 but HHH is shut down permanently after that heart scare so not as much

The XFL 3.0 is talking about development outwardly. Yes fisher said it in the commercial for a show, and the USFL will use it to attract players for sure. But Its obvious with the XFL-NFL "link" they are testing NFL rules, officials training, other NFL ideas and "opportunities" for unqualified HCs. Its part of their PR.
The USFL is taking an XFL 2.0 approach to it. I think most would agree with that.
