The USFL received some coverage during the Daytona 500 today. They had commercials sure but they also had a few segments dedicated to the league during the live broadcast of the race. Apparently, they also had box trucks running around Daytona this week promoting the league.

The USFL is already the most heavily promoted Alt league in the last 20 years. The next two months will be a steady flow of news and promotion. Fox is utilizing all assest, FS1 programs, commercials during NFL games and on FS1 during programming. PR and news releases. NBC's PFT is writing stories and some promos. Now Fox is tapping other programming 'sport' assets to promote the league.
And its 2 months till the 1st game... expect more. Next up the Draft.

I'm not sure I agree with it being promoted more than the XFL 2.0. If only for the fact the XFL had a commercial during the Superbowl and their Google trends spiked tremendously afterward. I will say the USFL is definitely being better promoted than the AAF or UFL for sure. The early 2000's push of the AFL on NBC, while not overwhelming, was substantial as well.4th&long wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 10:38 pmGood post. However, nothing can beat the XFL 1.0 promotion. C'mon, flying an XFL blimp over an NFL playoff game. That takes some major gusto to do that.

If they start promoting the league during prime time programming, that would really mean they're all in on this.

On non sports prime time I meant. Like during the Simpsons or the Masked Singer

Fox has been consistently hyping the USFL during every NASCAR Cup Series race since the Daytona 500 until now. During today’s Richmond race I feel like they have stepped it up considerably. I lost count on how many commercials they ran but I feel that the USFL received much more air time than any other product, show, or event. This would make sense being that we are 2 weeks until kickoff. Has anyone else noticed increased USFL coverage during other Fox programming?

I don't watch much but the number of voice overs and commercials are up from what I can tell when I do.Gopher123 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 7:53 pm Fox has been consistently hyping the USFL during every NASCAR Cup Series race since the Daytona 500 until now. They must be thinking that the overlap between NASCAR fans and football fans is pretty wide. I mean, it's not a bad strategy.
