No way it was 13K. I doubt it was even 10. These numbers they keep releasing are ridiculous.

It's gettin' hot in here...and we about to burn 'em up!
Looks like the 2020 XFL champion may be 2-3 seconds short of playing a full season

Missed the Memphis game. The Salt Lake game looks like less than 1,000 fans. Mostly because of the weather but there’s no way they had more than 5k last week. At least the snow is covering up the Utes logos.SamTheRam28 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 7:02 pmNo way it was 13K. I doubt it was even 10. These numbers they keep releasing are ridiculous.

And just like that the league is averaging under 17k...
Ready for the team reveals...again

Birmingham might not have 1,000 people.
Edit: It's not quite that bad. I'll say 5K.

Re: AAF Update Thread
An undefeated team drawing like that in week 4 is awful. Birmingham has to do a better job supporting their team. The AAF either needs to lower ticket prices or market their games better.MikeSherman wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 4:02 pm Birmingham might not have 1,000 people.

Re: AAF Update Thread
Birmingham unveiled their mascot.
The AAF has fallen into the same traps that other alternative football leagues (including the first version of the XFL) fall into: teams in Birmingham, Memphis, Orlando and San Antonio. Every football league that has come after the AFL has at least had two teams in one of those four cities, plus Sacramento and Las Vegas:
World Football League: Birmingham, Memphis, Orlando and San Antonio
USFL: Birmingham, Memphis, Orlando, San Antonio
World League of American Football: Birmingham, Orlando, San Antonio, Sacramento
CFL in America: Birmingham, Memphis, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Sacramento
XFL 1.0: Birmingham, Memphis, Las Vegas, Orlando
UFL: Orlando, Las Vegas, Sacramento
AAF: Birmingham, Memphis, Orlando and San Antonio
The Freedom Football League will reportedly have Orlando and Birmingham.
It used to be Birmingham, Memphis, Las Vegas, Orlando, Sacramento and San Antonio as the six cities alternative football leagues would go to for teams. Las Vegas has now told all five of these other cities to "stick it where the sun don't shine" now that it's going to be in the NFL soon.

Re: AAF Update Thread
But AAF seems to think they'll be different for some reason. People said XFL was stupid for going to NFL cities, but it's never been done. The AAF approach has been done countless times and has never worked. I'm confident the XFL's cities will support their teams well, aside from maybe LA and Tampa. It's just refreshing to see a league try something new.GDAWG wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 6:06 pm Birmingham unveiled their mascot.

the AAF trying something new would be going into new cities like Albuquerque, Austin and Louisville instead of Memphis, Birmingham, Orlando and San AntonioSamTheRam28 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 6:12 pmBut AAF seems to think they'll be different for some reason.
