Superbowl or Superbore????

Post by Loogan »

Do you think the Superbowl will be any good this year... a Superbowl of Superbore?

I'm cheering for lots of scoring, and the score to be close. That's all I want to see. 8-)

Low scoring. 20-17 type game.

Forget the NFL, the XFL is where it's at baby  ! Just kidding, but to answer your question I think that the Pats will win a close game because they always do in the Super Bowl. Question, what should the XFL Championship game be called?

I see Brady can’t catch a pass tonight. The ball must have too much air in it.

I don’t mind calling the XFL Championship the Million Dollar Game. (Just not the “Big Game at the End”)

Well, I was pretty close to the halftime score, I guess.

Didn't see that coming. However, the catch/no catch thing still bothers me. By their own rules, he was heading to the ground. No matter how many steps he takes. Until he's clearing 'standing' he's not yet a a runner.

Hopefully with XFL that would be a no-brainer decision. But, with NFL you have them volleying back and forth what is and isn't a catch.

At least it wasn’t boring! Ironic they have so many problems reviewing catches on the same night the XFL puts out a parody video. :D

I think it’s hilarious that “touchdown” and “not a touchdown” discussion has now permeated twitter.

It was a solid Super Bowl! But it illustrated exactly what McMahon pointed out is wrong with football. Rules interpretation and understand during and after the game (ie. catch no catch), the buzzkill of play reviews, the number of commercials (although super bowl commercials can be entertaining, during the regular season they are absolutely frustrating).

I’m not sure how you can truly condense a game to 2 hours, but his vision is spot on.
He’s shown good games can be had (see LA Xtreme vs Chicago Enforces week2) that can be like what we saw on Sunday.

Yes, it was a good game. Lots of excitement and tons of drama. It’s the “stupid” drama, like the lengthy debate over whether it was a TD or not a TD, that hurts the league. I think people are tired of it. (I am) 😒
